Violinist Daniel Vlashi opens the Symphony Orchestra’s concert season with Mozart

The Albanian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra has kicked off its new concert season by introducing some talented new artists.
The concert commenced with an Albanian folk dance, performed by the orchestra for the first time, and composed by the young artist Jetmir Zaganjori, who also received a regional award for his work.
Renowned as one of the finest ensembles in the country, the Orchestra is under the leadership of the French conductor, Aurelien Azan Zielinski, for the second consecutive year, marking the first time in its history that a foreign conductor has held this role.
The conductor of the orchestra, Aurelien Azan Zielinski, expressed his satisfaction with the artists’ performance.
“The concert was truly exceptional. Our harmony with the musicians was mirrored in our connection with the audience. Beethoven’s symphony, with which we concluded the concert, embodies themes of peace and love, and I believe we successfully conveyed that spirit on this delightful evening,” Zielinski remarked.
Moreover, the “Gjon Simoni” hall at National Radio Television was filled to capacity with artists and classical music enthusiasts who enthusiastically applauded the 26-year-old violinist, Daniel Vlashi Lukaçi, during his performance.

The 26-year-old artist currently holds the position of deputy concertmaster at the German Symphony Orchestra of Berlin. For the Tirana event, he selected Mozart’s Concert in A major.
With great confidence in his performance and perfect synchronization with the orchestra under Zielinski’s baton, the violinist, hailing from A Coruña, Spain, not only showcased his immense talent but also demonstrated the years of preparation he underwent in various European schools. Furthermore, he highlighted his contributions to the Symphony Orchestra of Galicia (Spain) and the Lyon Opera (France).
Daniel’s performance was characterized by a strong sense of musicality and interpretive technique. He owes much of his talent to the Albanian violin school, which he embraced thanks to the guidance of his parents, Florian (violin) and Rediana (cello), both artists from Durrës.

As a son of an artist, Daniel has been a participant in most editions of the Biennale “Classical Music Nights,” an event organized by his father since 2003 in Durrës. This experience has provided him with a deep understanding of the background of concert music in our country.
Fueled by his passion for chamber music, Daniel Vlashi Lukaçi founded the quartet “Quatour Confluence.” With this ensemble, he has achieved remarkable success, winning several awards and performing concerts throughout France.
His performance last evening garnered admiration and applause from those in attendance at the opening concert of the 2023-2024 season, where the Symphony Orchestra also performed pieces such as “Albanian Folk Dance” by the young composer Jetmir Zaganjori, and “Sinfonia No. 5 in C Minor” by L. V. Beethoven.
