Acting Director of the Institute, Naim Berisha, said the Week of Albanology has become a strong tradition and a scientific space for presenting and analyzing achievements in the field.

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti attended the opening. He said that Albanological knowledge, both in the past and now, faces specific challenges.

The Ambassador of Albania to Kosovo, Petrit Malaj, said this week is a call to collective memory and a push for future progress in the field.

The conference opened with the History Session. The theme was: “The Intertwining of Religious Identity among Albanians from Pagan Beliefs to Contemporary Pluralism.”
