FM Spiropali in Croatia for Talks on Economic Cooperation and Regional Projects

TIRANA, November 24 – Minister for Europe and foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali arrived in Zagreb for an official visit and plans meetings with Croatia’s president, Zoran Milanovic, and Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić-Radman. She will later join a session with the Croatian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee.

The agenda covers the friendly ties between the two countries and the next steps in their strategic partnership. Both sides aim to advance preparations for the first intergovernmental meeting. The talks also include economic cooperation, with emphasis on energy, tourism, and infrastructure. Regional projects enter the discussion as well, such as the Blue Corridor, Corridor VIII, and the Three Seas Initiative. The development of the Adriatic–Ionian gas pipeline remains a key point for stronger Croatia–TAP energy links.

Spiropali will also deliver a lecture titled “Albania, an Added Value to the EU” at the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Political Science.
