61% more visitors to the History Museum than last March

The number of visitors to the National Historical Museum during March of this year has increased by 61% compared to March of the previous year.
The National Historical Museum published the number of visitors, which shows the increase in interest from domestic and foreign tourists for the institution’s pavilions and activities.
Thus, during the month of March 2022, the National Historical Museum was visited by 1474 people in total, while this first year was very successful with 2366 visitors.
The Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the European Union and UNOPS, have included the National Historical Museum in the EU4Culture program, which started the implementation with the mosaic of the front facade, to continue with the museum building itself.
The MHK building, a category II monument, will be even more functional for visitors, with added pavilions that speak to our national identity. Albanology specialists are also included in the working group.
The team that carried out the project had in its composition 31 specialists from different fields: architects, historians, archaeologists, ethnographers, iconographers, designers, etc.
The aim is for this museum to have more permanent and temporary exhibition spaces, so that it is as dynamic as possible; to have as many educational spaces for children, spaces for meetings, workshops, bookstores, facilities for the family and definitely spaces dedicated to the digitization and restoration of artifacts.
