Hebrew National Museum Project Launches in Vlora

The construction of the Hebrew National Museum in Vlora has officially commenced.
Originally envisioned two years ago, the project aims to transform the building into a multifunctional space.
The recently unveiled design reflects changes from the initial plan, which called for a glass installation above the existing square. The updated plan now includes the addition of a new glass floor on the third level of the current building, to serve as the museum’s exhibition area.
Moreover, the underground portion of the historical center square will be modified, with the construction of a basement level and the installation of a concrete structure in the already enclosed space.
With a budget of $6.5 million, the museum will highlight the life of the Jewish community that settled in Vlora during the Holocaust, as well as provide spaces for education and art.
A modern architectural installation will be built in the area currently occupied by the historical center square, in front of the “Labëria” club.
