Venice Biennale 2025 to Feature Albania’s Unique Architectural Dialogue

Albania will unveil its own pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Biennale in Venice.
Entitled Building Architecture Culture, our pavilion delves into the intricate relationship between architecture and society, extending its influence beyond the realm of practice to encompass academia and the public sphere. It is a space for dialogue, where ideas are exchanged, perspectives reshaped, and new narratives emerge.
Curated by Anneke Abhelakh, a researcher and practitioner immersed in contemporary art, architecture, and public spaces, the pavilion brings a vision rooted in Zurich, where she lives and works. Her work explores the spatial dynamics between architectural practice, academia, and the third sphere of cultural engagement, fostering projects that encourage conversation and deepen mutual understanding.
The 19th Architecture Biennale, open to the public from May 10 to November 23, 2025, will revolve around the central theme: “Intelligence. Natural. Artificial. Collective.”
As is customary, the exhibition will present national pavilions with their unique showcases at Giardini and Arsenale, as well as in the historic heart of Venice.
