Over the weekend, the National Experimental Theatre “Kujtim Spahivogli” staged the performance Tales of Time.

A production of the Experimental Theatre in collaboration with the Austrian Embassy in Tirana, the show featured concept and scenography by Anna Possarnig. On stage, performers Valentina Myteveli, Mariel Brahimllari, and Semela Skënderasi brought the narrative to life, accompanied by the evocative sounds of Joel Diegert.

This contemporary ballet delved into the stories that shape the human experience, the narratives upon which we build our lives and identities. The performance served as an exploration of traditional folk tales from both countries, recontextualizing them within our modern perception of reality.

The production sought to answer profound questions: Who are we, and how much of ourselves is shaped by the experiences of our ancestors? What similarities exist between our personal stories? How does our modern life differ? What are we truly made of? And ultimately, despite the digital transformation of our daily lives, are we still bound by the same fundamental rules?
