Supported by the Albanian-American Development Foundation and the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, the project “Empowering Museums through Technology – EXPA” is revolutionizing the documentation of cultural heritage artifacts.

In collaboration with the National Institute for the Registration of Cultural Heritage, the EXPA Digitalization Unit is implementing cutting-edge technologies such as Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI) and 3D scanning, enabling a more in-depth analysis of museum artifacts.

This initiative, which aims to enhance digitalization capacities for cultural heritage assets in heritage sites and national museums, facilitates:

Preservation of cultural heritage for future generations

With state-of-the-art equipment, cultural heritage experts will be able to document and promote museum collections as well as key archaeological sites, providing broader access to Albania’s historical treasures for both the public and the scientific community.
