French Diplomats Meet with Prefect Jole: Advancing Plans for the French Lycee in Korça

The fourth meeting of the Steering Committee for cooperation between central and local institutions and the French government expert Jerome Lebars took place today at the Prefecture of Korça. Attached to the Prefecture, Lebars is working on the project for the establishment of a French Lycee in Korça.
As part of this initiative, the Prefect of Korça, Nertil Jole, hosted Catherine Suard, Ambassador of France to Albania, and Pierre Raynaud, Cooperation and Cultural Advisor at the French Embassy.
To fulfill the mandate assigned by the Prime Minister, the Prefecture is providing support to the French expert and closely assisting the process, ensuring collaboration between central and local institutions.
Jole emphasized that at the upcoming European Political Community summit, set to take place in Tirana on May 16 with European leaders, French President Emmanuel Macron will be presented with the progress of this key project for the city.
“This project follows the tradition of strong friendship between our two countries and will create new educational opportunities for young people in our region and beyond. It will offer students an elite high school option for their secondary education,” noted Prefect Jole.
