Prime Minister Edi Rama Visits High-Tech Manufacturing Companies in Tirana Industrial Park

Prime Minister Edi Rama, accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, and Deputy Minister Olta Manjani, visited the Tirana Industrial Park today, where they toured two manufacturing companies utilizing state-of-the-art technology.

The visit began with a tour of the “Lekli” company, a pharmaceutical firm focused on producing medical products for human use.

Luan Lekli, the company’s founder and administrator, provided a presentation on the company’s investments, particularly in the field of technology.

“This is a German investment with German technology. What sets us apart from others is that we are the only company in the Balkans designed in such a way as to produce personalized medicine for a single patient using industrial-scale processes,” Lekli explained.

“Meanwhile, all production and laboratories have a development component. In the future, we plan to introduce injections and biological medications, which is a challenge we aim to address,” he added.

Lekli also mentioned that the company has an agreement with the University of Medicine, where they collaborate in the field of students and scientific capacities.

The Prime Minister’s next stop was at the “Segment” company, which offers a wide range of machinery and equipment needed for various industries.

“The company has been in operation for over 20 years. We started as a family business and later returned from abroad. Our staff is young, and many have been with us since their school days. We employ 40 people, with locations in Albania and Pristina. Our minimum wage is 700 euros, and we are among the highest-paying companies, offering roles for assistant mechanics,” said the company’s administrator.
