“Opera Gala” to Shine at National Theatre on April 17–18

On April 17 and 18, the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet will present Opera Gala. The show will feature the symphony orchestra, choir, ballet troupe, and soloists. Conductor Sergio Alapont will lead the performance. Renato Zanella will direct and choreograph the show.

According to TKOB, the audience will enjoy famous arias from Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, and Strauss. The music will take them on an emotional journey through the classics.

“This show celebrates music with all the artists. Each piece expresses love. Music, voice, and dance are living arts that belong in the theatre,” said Renato Zanella during the press conference.

“I’m happy to be part of this important event. One word matters most—joy. It connects the artists with the audience. People should feel that joy as they listen to the music,” said conductor Sergio Alapont.

The artists say spring is the perfect time for this performance. The season symbolizes renewal and new beginnings.

“We bring together many dramatic works. But we also highlight the joy these characters feel. Love remains the central theme. It’s special because we all share the stage as lead performers,” said mezzo-soprano Vikena Kamenica.

The principal ballerina added, “The gala blends music and dance. It’s lively, not boring. The audience will enjoy its energy.”

Opera Gala will last two hours and include 150 performers from the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
