COD Brings Major International Art Exhibition to Tirana

The Center for Openness and Dialogue (COD) will soon open a major international art exhibition in Tirana.
The exhibition is titled “From Bohemianism to Eternity.” It features works by famous artists such as Amedeo Modigliani, Henri Matisse, Edgar Degas, Tamara de Lempicka, and Kees van Dongen.
COD organizes the event with the MTA Foundation and the Embassy of Israel.
The exhibition includes key movements like Modern Art, Fauvism, Art Deco, and the Avant-Garde. These works shaped the history of world art.
Modigliani and Van Dongen, both linked to France, appear with their masterpieces. Van Dongen presents a bold portrait of Marcelle Léoni. Modigliani shows the portrait of Annie Bjarne, a young Swedish woman.
Sculpture holds a special place in the show. Degas stands out with Little Fourteen-Year-Old Dancer, a bronze with a real tutu. He created many ballet-themed works.
Matisse contributes with Aurora, a bold plaster sculpture painted to resemble bronze.
Hungarian avant-garde artists enrich the exhibition. These include Bela Kadar, Lajos Tihanyi, Csaky, and Hugo Scheiber.
German artists also feature prominently. Works by Hanns Bolz, Henrich Nauen, Max Ackermann, Friedrich Gotsch, Boris Kleint, Oscar Moll, and Gabrielle Münter complete the collection.
