The first night of the Eurovision Song Contest starts tonight (May 13) in Basel, Switzerland. Albania will be represented by Shkodra Elektronike, who will perform their song “Zjerm” /Fire/ as the 12th act in the semi-final.

As Beatrice and Kola feel the excitement of the competition and the magic of Eurovision, Prime Minister Edi Rama has wished them success.

“Good morning! Wishing success to Albania tonight in Eurovision, with Beatrice and Kola from Shkodra Elektronike. Have a great day!” Rama wrote on Facebook, sharing the song “Zjerm.”

At the 63rd Song Festival on RTSH, “Zjerm” won the support of the professional jury, the local audience, and the Diaspora, earning the chance to represent Albania at Eurovision.

Shkodra Elektronike will perform 12th in the first semi-final tonight in Basel.

“Zjerm” blends traditional Albanian sounds with electronic music. It was created to connect with everyone. Albanians worldwide are urged to vote to help the song earn the recognition it deserves at Eurovision.
