Bobby Solo and Marco Zappa to Light Up Tirana with a Night of Legendary Music at the Palace of Congresses

Italian singer Bobby Solo and Italo-Swiss singer-songwriter Marco Zappa will perform in Albania for the first time on June 3 at 21:00, the Palace of Congresses.
This special night will bring back the golden age of melodic music and rock ‘n’ roll. It will capture the energy of classic cities like Manchester and echo the spirit of Bruce Springsteen’s sound.
Bobby Solo – The Italian Elvis
Bobby Solo rose to fame in 1964. He won the Sanremo Festival with the hit “Una lacrima sul viso” (“A Tear on the Face”). The song sold millions of copies. Fans around the world loved his voice and style, often compared to Elvis Presley’s.
Throughout his long career, he returned to Sanremo and other major competitions. His music blends rock ‘n’ roll, romantic ballads, and Italian melody.
Bobby Solo shared his excitement with the “European Albania” Center, the concert organizers.
“I can’t wait to come to Tirana,” he said. “I’ll perform favorites like ‘Una lacrima sul viso,’ ‘Zingara,’ and more rock, country, and blues.”
Marco Zappa – A Bridge Between Cultures
Marco Zappa is a major figure in Swiss music. His concert program includes songs inspired by Albania. He also brings music shaped by The Beatles, who deeply influenced his style.
Zappa, married to an Albanian woman named Elena, feels a strong connection to the country.
“I grew up with Bobby Solo’s music,” he said. “It’s an honor to share the stage with him in a place that means so much to me.”
Two Legends, One Stage, One Night
The concert has two parts:
• First, Marco Zappa will perform pop, folk, and Albanian-inspired music.
• Then, Bobby Solo and his band will take the stage with classic Italian hits.
This concert that brings together generations, cultures, and memories is supported by the Municipality of Tirana as part of its efforts to promote artistic and cultural activities in the capital, offering the Albanian public a unique opportunity to experience the magic of authentic Italian music up close.
