Hungarian Cultural Week Opens in Tirana with Teqball Showcase

Hungarian Cultural Week opened today in Tirana with a lively Teqball event, a sport that mixes football and table tennis.
Young players took part this afternoon at the Bicycle School and the Grand Park of Tirana. They played singles and doubles, using every part of their body except hands and arms.
The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs donated two official Teqball tables. One table went to the Bicycle School, the other to the Grand Park near St. Procopius Church.
Major sports organizations recognize Teqball. The sport appeared in the 2023 European Games and aims to join the Olympics. Since its 2016 debut in Budapest, with Ronaldinho as ambassador, Teqball has won fans and players around the world.
Hungarian innovators created Teqball in 2014. The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) now oversees the sport, promoting fair play, creativity, and a healthy lifestyle.
Hungarian Cultural Week runs until October 2. The program blends history and tradition with contemporary art, music, fashion, and authentic Hungarian cuisine.
