Concert “Music for Broken People” Held in Tirana for Swiss Cultural Week

As part of Swiss Cultural Week, the concert “Music for Broken People” was held at the Artistic High School of Tirana. The performance, consisting of four musical pieces, chronologically portrays the emotional states and suffering during Albania’s communist dictatorship (1945-1990), ending with a belief in freedom. The first section reflects the hypocrisy and brutality of the totalitarian regime. The second represents the emotional state of the oppressed, with the soprano’s voice symbolizing their silenced cries. The third depicts the harsh living conditions resulting from political leadership and widespread poverty. The final piece presents a calm, melancholic yet hopeful sound, emphasizing the need for freedom and faith.

Supported by the Swiss Cultural Fund, this event is a project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), implemented by the Center for Business, Technology, and Leadership (CBTL).
