Fitur 2025: Albania’s Stand Becomes a Global Visitor Hub, Says PM Rama

Albania continues to attract a growing number of tourists each year, not only from EU countries but increasingly from Latin America, among other continents.

This rising interest was evident at the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, where Albania’s booth has been a standout feature.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared footage from the event on social media, showcasing the bustling activity at Albania’s booth, which has become a focal point for visitors.

“Albania’s presentation shines at the International Tourism Fair in Madrid. Our booth, filled with activities and flavors, has become a hub for visitors from all over the world, especially from Latin America, who are increasingly drawn to Albania’s inspiring experiences year after year,” said Rama.

In 2024, Albania welcomed 110,000 Spanish tourists, a 26% increase compared to 2023. The number of Brazilian visitors reached 17,000, reflecting a 50% growth. Additionally, there were 5,800 visitors from Argentina, 5,000 from Mexico, 2,700 from Chile, and 2,100 from Peru.

Throughout the five-day “Fitur 2025” fair, Albania’s stand will host a variety of activities organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment. Designed as a unique mix of experiences, the program presents Albania as one of Europe’s most exciting destinations.

Visitors to the stand can explore virtual journeys through Albania, enjoy “Albanian Nights” inspired by the country’s rich cultural traditions, and participate in tasting experiences curated by the Albanian Agrotourism Association. These attractions ensure Albania leaves a lasting impression on fair attendees.
