Elhaida Dani Reflects on Light Song Fest 63, Shares Gratitude and a Special Message on Social Media

A few days after the conclusion of Fest 63 on RTSH, Albanian Radio and Television, Elhaida Dani, festival’s artistic director, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing her gratitude and reflecting on her role in the event. This year’s festival, which wrapped up in December, stood out for its innovation and outstanding musical performances.

Elhaida, a renowned singer whose success has extended beyond Albania’s borders, noted that the festival brought a level of brilliance and confidence that had never been seen before.

In her message, she thanked everyone who contributed to the success of Fest 63, starting with the professional orchestra of RTSH, collaborators Alfred Kaçinari and Shpëtim Saraçi, artistic director Elton Deda, lyricist Zefina Hasani, director Redi Treni, and Festival Director (and Deputy Director of RTSH) Aurora Polo.

According to Dani, her involvement in Fest 63 marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration. She also praised the dynamic duo, Ornela Bregu and Enkel Demi, calling them the “cherry on top” of the entire experience.

Aside from her role as artistic director, Elhaida Dani delivered memorable performances, including her opening rendition of “Fëmija i parë”, (First Child) originally sung by the legendary Vaçe Zela. She also performed alongside French singer Slimane, the special guest of the second night, and delivered a powerful message against hate speech during her performance on the final night.

RTSH Light Song Festival left a lasting impact, not only within the artistic community but also among political leaders. The final night was attended by numerous prominent figures, including Kosova’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and received praise from Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama.
