TIRANA, December 30 – Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Elisa Spiropali congratulated Prime Minister Albin Kurti on his victory in the December 28 elections.

She praised the smooth conduct of the electoral process and extended congratulations to the Vetëvendosje [Self-Determination] Movement and the entire political class for the campaign carried out.

Spiropali underlined that Kosova and Albania were moving together toward a European future.

She congratulated the people of Kosova for conducting the elections with maturity, calm, and civic responsibility, describing it as an expression of democratic maturity.

She also congratulated the Vetëvendosje [Self-Determination] Movement and Prime Minister Kurti for their victory and the trust received from citizens, as well as the entire political spectrum for the campaign and standards achieved.

Spiropali added that Albania and Kosova moved side by side, with one heart and one voice, on the European path, because what united them was greater than any border.

The Vetëvendosje [Self-Determination] Movement, led by Kurti, emerged as the leading force in the early elections held on December 28, securing about 50 percent of the votes. The result gave Vetëvendosje [Self-Determination] a significant advantage to obtain a parliamentary majority and form a government.
