TIRANA, January 7 – The President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, received the credentials of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Khamphon Vongsanty, today.

President Begaj praised the friendly relations between Albania and Laos, noting they are based on mutual respect and cooperation. He added that both countries have opportunities to deepen their collaboration, especially in the fields of economy, tourism, and culture.

The President emphasized that Albania attaches special importance to international cooperation in support of peace and stability. In this context, he welcomed Laos’ recognition of Kosova and its support for Kosova’s membership in international organizations, describing it as a contribution to peace and stability in the Western Balkans.
