From Albanian Robots to Balkan Innovation: Creative Industry Agency Awards Prizes to Young Creators

This year’s International Youth Day highlighted the vital role of youth in the creative industry. The Municipality of Tirana and the Creative Industries Agency transformed the New Bazaar market into a multifunctional space, bringing a diverse range of activities to life.
At the Creative Industries Fair, part of the “B40 Creative Industries Youth Awards,” visitors had the chance to explore works by various artists and discover Albania’s first robots. The event attracted both adults and children, providing opportunities to learn about technology, craftsmanship, and businesses founded by young innovators.
Additionally, three panels featuring both Albanian and international experts were held, focusing on the role of youth as an economic driver in the creative industries, the importance of innovation, and the impact of technology on the sector.

The evening culminated in a Gala ceremony, where awards were presented in 10 categories. The event was attended by notable figures and professionals from the creative industries. The nominees, young entrepreneurs from across the Balkans, had established innovative businesses based on creative ideas.
“We are proud that, in just 1,000 days, we have invested in future professions, such as those in the creative industries. We believe in the potential of this sector to drive the economy and have made a positive impact on economic development,” said Jonid Jorgji, Director of the Creative Industries Agency.
From innovative technologies to awards for the most creative ventures and social initiatives, prizes were distributed across the Balkans under the B40 network.
