TIRANA, January 16 – Prime Minister Edi Rama convened the Socialist Parliamentary Group on Thursday, January 16, at the Palace of Brigades. This is the group’s first meeting of 2026.

Albanian Radio and Television reporter Denada Shkodrani informs that the meeting is taking place behind closed doors and is expected to last until around 2:00 p.m.

The focus is a detailed review of all sectors, following the divisions previously set by the Prime Minister. Currently, the Socialist Party operates with 13 committees. Their leaders will report on their respective areas, with 10 minutes allocated to each.

The meeting begins with Prime Minister Rama addressing the parliamentary group. He will be followed by the Speaker of Assembly, Niko Peleshi, and the head of the parliamentary group, Taulant Balla.

“The purpose of this meeting is to reorganize the internal work of the Socialist Group and set priorities. This concerns not only the government’s objectives for 2026, but also parliamentary life,” Shkodrani reported.

Tomorrow, Rama will also meet with Socialist mayors in Durrës to discuss local priorities.
