TIRANA, February 10 – Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali held a meeting with US Under – secretary for Political Affairs Allison Hooker. Hooker oversees US political relations with allies worldwide. Spiropali described the meeting as substantive.

They discussed issues directly affecting Albania. These included NATO security, stability in the Western Balkans, and concrete steps to deepen economic and strategic partnership between the two countries. Spiropali emphasized that these steps ensure Albania’s voice is heard where decisions are made.

She said Albania is treated today as a reliable ally that stands alongside its partners and contributes to regional security and stability. In addition, she highlighted that Albania’s partnership with the US is not about protocol or photo opportunities. It is built on shared interests, values, and responsibilities.

Spiropali visited Washington last week. During her visit, she held several meetings in the US Congress. These meetings focused on strengthening cooperation between Albania and the United States across multiple areas.
