Assembly of Albania observes minute of silence for Kosova Liberation Army and Tomor Dosti

TIRANA, March 5 – The Assembly opened Thursday, March 5, with a minute of silence honoring the Kosova Liberation Army and former MP Tomor Dosti, who passed away at 96.
This year marks the 28th anniversary of the Kosova Liberation Army’s epic war. It represents a critical moment in Kosova’s history and symbolizes the Albanian population’s heroic resistance against Serbian oppression and aggression.
The widespread Serbian attack in Drenica targeted the elimination of the Kosova Liberation Army, resulting in the siege of the Jashari neighborhood in Prekaz, a key symbol of the fight for freedom.
The events of March 5–7, 1998, drew global attention to Kosova and remain a lasting symbol of the nation’s history and resilience.
