TIRANA, March 15 – Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, met with Spain’s ambassador in Tirana, Gabriel Cremades Ventura.

The meeting marked the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Albania and Spain. Hoxha thanked Spain for its continued support for Albania’s EU membership process and described Madrid as a reliable partner.

The two sides also discussed Hoxha’s official visit to Spain next week. The visit aims to deepen bilateral cooperation and strengthen ties between the two countries.

Hoxha highlighted opportunities for cooperation in tourism, renewable energy, infrastructure, and agro-industry. He also cited the presence of Melia Hotels International as an example of growing Spanish investment in Albania’s tourism sector.
