TIRANA, March 20 – Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, held a phone call with Kosova’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Glauk Konjufca, reaffirming strong bilateral ties and continued cooperation. Hoxha said Kosova remains a constant and undisputed priority in Albania’s foreign policy.

Hoxha stated that both sides confirmed their close relationship and shared commitment to deepen their strategic partnership. They agreed to strengthen cooperation across key sectors, including economy, infrastructure, education, culture, security, and diplomacy. They also supported the reactivation of joint institutional mechanisms and the advancement of major national projects.

The minister welcomed recent developments in Kosova’s relations with the European Union, including the lifting of restrictive measures. He described the move as an important step that creates a new and promising phase in Kosova’s European path. He expressed confidence that further progress will follow, including steps toward candidate status.

Hoxha reaffirmed Albania’s full support for strengthening Kosova’s international position. He highlighted efforts to expand recognition, advance membership in international organizations, and support European and Euro-Atlantic integration. He stressed that Albania will continue close coordination with Kosova to achieve shared objectives and support long-term regional stability.
