TIRANA, March 22 – Albanian President Bajram Begaj has sent his greetings to Bektashi believers on Sultan Nevruz, a day they consider the most blessed of the year. The holiday marks the arrival of spring and coincides with the birthday of Imam Ali.

In his message, Begaj wished that the day brings prosperity and well-being to every household and every Albanian. “This sacred day, a symbol of spring and renewal, reminds us of the power of hope, love, and unity. Let it serve as a call for greater harmony and understanding among us, strengthening the coexistence and tolerance that define our society,” he said.

Sultan Nevruz is also recognized internationally by the United Nations as International Nevruz Day. It is an ancient celebration of life, renewal, and the triumph of light over darkness.
