The National Theatre of Opera and Ballet (TKOB) is preparing to present the concert “Zorba – the Greek”, featuring the music of renowned composer Mikis Theodorakis.

The premiere concert is designed as a journey through Theodorakis’s most celebrated cycles, showcasing pieces from “Axion Esti”, “Epitafios”, “Epifania”, “Ta Lyrika”, and other works, inspired by the heartfelt poetry of great Greek poets such as Odysseas Elytis, Yannis Ritsos, Tasos Livaditis, and others.

The performance will feature TKOBAB artists, including baritone soloist Artur Vera and pianist Etrita Ibrahimi, accompanied by Panagiotis Lympanovnos on the buzuki, a symbolic instrument in Greek music. Actor Xhuliano Brisku will also participate, performing poetry readings.

TKOB announced that the concert will take place on the evening of April 15.
