Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi, met with the Speaker of the Lithuanian Parliament, Juozas Olekas.

The bilateral meeting took place in Zagreb during the Parliamentary Summit of the Three Seas Initiative.

Peleshi emphasized that Lithuania supports Albania’s swift EU membership. He added that enlargement strengthens, enlarges, and secures the European Union.

He also noted that integrating the Western Balkans will be a priority for the Lithuanian EU Presidency in the first half of 2027.

“Albania’s Parliament and the Lithuanian Parliament will intensify parliamentary cooperation. They will promote excellent bilateral relations and jointly contribute to stability, security, and peace,” Peleshi assured.
