The Albanian National Center of Cinematography has officially joined the family of DAEF (Directors of European Film Agencies) as its newest member.

The decision to accept Albanian National Center of Cinematography was made unanimously during the most recent board meeting held at the Venice Film Festival, further strengthening the network of European film agencies.

Eol Çashku, Chairman of Albanian National Center of Cinematography, expressed his belief that the reunification of the European continent is primarily driven by culture and knowledge.

For this reason, he continued, DAEF serves as an excellent instrument for sharing knowledge and best practices with the aim of promoting and supporting European cinematic creativity.

“We are pleased to welcome Albania to our European family. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration,” stated Chris Marcich, President of EFAD.

Founded in 1997, Albanian National Center of Cinematography is the only public institution in Albania dedicated to financing, promoting, and supporting the production of cinematography and audiovisual works.
