StandUp Tirana Festival Kicks Off in the Capital with Three Nights of Comedy

The StandUp Tirana Festival opens in Tirana and runs for three consecutive nights. The event takes place at ArTurbina and is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports.

The festival brings stand-up comedians from Albania, Kosovo, and the diaspora. It runs from April 27 to April 29 and aims to deliver a full program of comedy performances.

On the opening night, comedians Gent Hazizi, Laura Formenti, Besnik Mustafaj, Med Sadrija, Florian Binaj, and Anton Bello perform at 20:00.

On April 28, Denis Taullaj, Arlinda Reçi, Gent Hazizi, Lulzim Bucolli, Timoleon Gjikopulli, and Christos Makariadis take the stage.

On the final night, Xhuliano Dule, Edi Oga, Panajot Vasili, Mario Shitka, and Valina Muçolli perform.

Organizers describe stand-up comedy as a live performance where a comedian tells humorous stories to an audience. They say performers use jokes, storytelling, observation, and interaction with the crowd to engage viewers.
