Shkodra Hosts “Flower Festival” and Transforms City into Blooming Garden

Shkodra hosts its traditional “Flower Festival,” turning the city into a colorful attraction every spring.
The festival transforms the northern city into a blooming garden and attracts visitors from across Albania and beyond. Prime Minister Edi Rama shares images on social media showing the festive atmosphere and the city’s flower-filled streets.
Rama says Shkodra celebrates the season with colors, flowers, and an atmosphere that invites people to experience the city differently. Authorities decorate main streets and squares with floral installations, creating a festive environment across the city.
The Shkodra Pedonalja becomes a central hub, where flower fairs, cultural activities, and artistic performances take place.
The festival also supports local tourism and boosts the local economy. Small businesses, artisans, and farmers present their products and benefit from increased visitor traffic.
Shkodra’s gardens showcase flowers such as carnations, roses, hydrangeas, and other varieties that define the city’s identity and beauty.
The Flower Festival continues until May 6 with a program of activities for all age groups.
