Citizens of Durrës as well as its visitors will witness on Thursday how the Ancient Amphitheater will transform into an open-air cinema.

On the evening of July 18, the amphitheater will screen the film “La Bataille de Solférino” by Justine Triet, her first feature-length film. The movie will be subtitled in Albanian and narrates through an extraordinary energy the political and romantic tensions in Paris. On one hand, it portrays François Hollande’s triumph in the elections, while on the other, it delves into the family drama of journalist Leticia.

The event is organized with the support of the French Institute, the Durrës Archaeological Museum Center, the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, among others. This activity adds to the list of cultural attractions, especially for visitors during this summer season.

The Durrës Archaeological Museum Center announced that entry to the amphitheater will be free of charge.
