“Kënga Vllahe” Festival Promotes Cultural Heritage and Community Unity

The second edition of the “Kënga Vllahe” festival was held in the village of Andon Poçi, highlighting the cultural heritage of the Aromanian (Vlach) community in Albania. The event promoted traditional Vlach songs and dances as an important part of spiritual and cultural identity.

It was supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of Albania. Several artistic groups from different regions of the country took part in the festival.

Organizers said the event promoted coexistence, friendship, and unity through music and tradition. Six Vlach groups performed, alongside guest performances from other ensembles. The festival aimed to preserve and pass cultural traditions to younger generations.

Organizers emphasized that the event strengthens community ties and keeps Vlach cultural expression alive.
