Red carpet and backstage moments highlighted Spring Festival return

TIRANA, June 8 – The Spring Festival returned as a large-scale production and brought together live performances, red carpet appearances and backstage coverage over two nights at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

Albanian Radio and Television combined nostalgia with contemporary music as artists, guests and spectators took part in the festival’s revival after more than two decades. Meanwhile, large crowds filled the venue and followed events from the red carpet to the final performances.

RTSH Director General Eni Vasili said the decision to revive the festival came in cooperation with artists and composers who had long supported its return. She described the project as both a tribute to the festival’s legacy and an opportunity for new talent.

In addition, several artists who had previously participated in the festival returned as special guests. Singer Jonida Maliqi said the event played an important role in launching music careers and remained a valuable platform for emerging performers. Singer Eneda Tarifa also welcomed the festival’s return and expressed hope that it would become an annual event.

Audience members of different generations praised the revival and highlighted its appeal to both longtime followers and younger viewers. Some said the festival helped reconnect audiences with an important part of Albania’s musical history.

Meanwhile, presenters Migena Kraja and Andri Xhahu hosted red carpet coverage on RTSH 2. At the same time, Andri Xhahu and Antoneta Koçi brought viewers backstage access and offered a closer look at performers and preparations behind the scenes. As a result, the festival opened a new chapter in its history and reconnected audiences with one of Albania’s best-known music traditions.
