TIRANA, June 8 – Albanian President Bajram Begaj congratulated Albin Kurti on the result achieved in Kosova’s parliamentary elections held on June 7.

Begaj praised the citizens of Kosova for what he described as mature conduct during a regular, calm and democratic electoral process. He said the vote once again demonstrated the strength of Kosova’s institutions and democratic culture.

Meanwhile, he called on all political forces to engage responsibly and in a constructive spirit. He said dialogue and institutional compromise were necessary to ensure stability and further development, as well as to meet the aspirations of Kosova’s citizens.

Begaj also reaffirmed Albania’s continued support for Kosova on its Euro-Atlantic and European path.
