Rame Lahaj International Opera Festival brings world-class performances to Kosovo in July

Pristina becomes the regional center of opera and classical music as the 6th edition of the International Opera Festival “Rame Lahaj” takes place throughout July.
Founded by internationally acclaimed tenor Ramë Lahaj, the festival brings together renowned artists, opera concerts, educational programs, and training opportunities for young talents.
Moreover, the event promotes culture, dialogue, and peace through music, with this year’s motto “Play Music, Not War.”
The festival continues to connect artists, cultures, and audiences, strengthening Kosovo’s role as an important meeting point for the international opera scene.
In addition, the opening events combined music, photography, and nostalgia through the first Kosovo exhibition of internationally known photographer Fadil Berisha, “Before Beauty / After Beauty.” The legendary group Minatori also performed during the opening night, creating an emotional atmosphere for the audience.
Later in July, the festival will welcome leading opera performers, including soprano Vanessa Goikoetxea, mezzo-soprano Stépánka Pucálková, bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni, and festival founder tenor Ramë Lahaj.
The event continues to highlight the power of music in bringing people and cultures together across the region.
