Tourism, Culture and Sport Minister Blendi Gonxhja met with Mexico’s new Ambassador to Albania, Genaro Fausto Lozano Valencia, to discuss stronger cooperation between the two countries.

The two officials focused on expanding collaboration in culture, tourism and sport.

They also discussed organising the Mexican Cultural Week in Albania. The event aims to introduce Albanian audiences to Mexico’s rich cultural, artistic and traditional heritage.

The initiative will also strengthen friendship and partnership between the two countries through cultural diplomacy and creative exchanges.

The meeting highlighted opportunities for Mexican investment in Albania’s hospitality and tourism sectors.

The officials also discussed promoting Albania at international tourism fairs and creating a direct air connection between Albania and Mexico.

Minister Gonxhja described the meeting as an important step toward expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
