University of Tirana Rector Artan Hoxha has signed a memorandum of understanding with Professor Steve O. Michael, rector and executive director of Danubius International University in Romania.

The agreement aims to strengthen institutional relations and identify new opportunities for cooperation in higher education. The two universities have previously worked together through the Erasmus+ programme, including staff exchanges.

Both institutions have expressed interest in expanding their partnership, including through joint study programmes.

The University of Tirana already maintains links with Romanian higher education institutions through 5 Erasmus+ agreements and 4 bilateral agreements. These support academic mobility, exchanges of experience and institutional partnerships.

The new memorandum marks a further step towards strengthening ties between the two universities and expanding international cooperation in higher education.
