“Le Bourgeois gentilhomme”, Moliere’s well-known comedy, is brought to the stage by the director Driada Dervishi, adapting more to the current Albanian situation.The troupe of actors performed the second show, on the stage of the “Aleksandër Mosiu” theater in Durrës, winning the applause of the spectators.

With an outstanding scenography and costume design, the comedy was conceived as a spectacle, where the actors, in addition to playing roles, sang different parts. Director Driada Dervishi says that the comedy points out the power of money and the power it has over people and comes as a moment of reflection for everyone.

The comedy was welcomed by the large audience as well as by a group of young people who became part of the theater for the first time. In addition to the comedy, they had the opportunity to follow the preparations of the actors before they went on stage. Director Dervishi says that through this initiative the aim is to bring more young people closer to the theater. Actors from the “Aleksandër Moisiu” theater of Durrës and the National Theater joined together for the realization of this show.

The comedy is planned to be shown in other cities as well.
