TIRANA, May 29 – Albania condemned a Russian drone strike in Galați, Romania. The strike hit a residential building. It injured civilians, including a minor.

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs issued a reaction. The ministry expressed full solidarity with Romania’s people and authorities. It also wished a swift and full recovery for the injured.

Meanwhile, the ministry said the incident represents a serious and irresponsible escalation by the Russian Federation. It said the attack underlines the human cost of Russia’s war against Ukraine. It added that the consequences of the war continue to threaten civilian safety beyond Ukraine’s borders.

At the same time, the ministry stressed Albania’s continued solidarity with allies and partners. It said Albania supports coordinated efforts to end the war. It also reaffirmed support for peace, security and international law principles.
