TIRANA, March 31 – Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, held a discussion with students at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The meeting featured an open exchange on the challenges and transformations shaping diplomacy in a complex, dynamic geopolitical context. Hoxha focused on Albania’s European path, highlighting progress in key reforms, negotiation milestones, and ongoing efforts to produce tangible results for EU integration.

Hoxha stressed that Albania’s European orientation has remained clear and unwavering. “Nothing is more comprehensive or vital than EU membership. Enlargement has returned to the center of Europe’s agenda. For us, the time is now. There is no reason for delay,” he said. He described enlargement as a strategic investment in Europe’s future and a story of growth.

The minister emphasized shared responsibility and cooperation to advance Albania’s European perspective. He underlined the role of the new generation of diplomats in shaping Europe’s and the region’s future. Hoxha also recognized the Vienna Diplomatic Academy’s long-standing contribution to training diplomats, noting its lasting connection with Albania’s Foreign Service through the preparation of several of its representatives.
