Albania brought its own voice to Milan’s Fuorisalone. The Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation launched CulturaAlb. This platform will boost Albania’s cultural diplomacy.
CulturaAlb – Albanian Days Worldwide ran from April 7–13. It joined Milan’s big design and art scene.
The highlight was Dying of Laughter. Architects Marin Nikolla and Denis Muça created it. Ceramic master Vasil Kuka built the pots. The piece mixes humor and tragedy. Every sound in their short film comes from inside a clay pot.
Visitors saw works by Bib Frrokaj. He blends traditional and modern motifs. They also saw Vatra, a glass table by architect Joana Dhiamandi. It evokes the warmth of an Albanian home.
CulturaAlb hosted Albchef, a global network of Albanian chefs. They shared culinary traditions. Guests tasted products from “Mrizi i Zanave.” Chef Altin Prenga led a tasting.
The program included show-cooking and talks on ethics and sustainability. It showed how Albanian values can thrive globally.
Humorist Xhuliano Dule performed stand-up comedy. He mixed irony with reflections on Albanian and diaspora life.
CulturaAlb premiered UDHA – One Blood, One Language, One Promise, a documentary by Lorik Cana and Arber Agalliu. It traces cultural and spiritual ties among Albanians at home and abroad.
CulturaAlb goes beyond Milan. It links Albanians worldwide. It highlights living heritage like the Arbëreshë Dance. This centuries-old festival honors Skanderbeg’s 1467 victory. Every Tuesday after Easter, Arbëreshë villages in Italy celebrate with songs, dances, and traditional dress.
These events were just the start. CulturaAlb will bring Albanian culture to more countries. It unites artists, designers, musicians, chefs, and diaspora communities. It projects Albania’s voice onto the world’s biggest cultural stages.
