TIRANA, April 17 – Albania’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs welcomed a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon announced on Thursday. The truce was mediated by the United States, according to officials.

The ministry described the agreement as a constructive and necessary step to reduce regional tensions. It also said the ceasefire could help prevent further loss of civilian lives.

Officials stressed that all parties must fully respect the ceasefire terms. The statement called for strict compliance with the agreement to avoid renewed escalation.

Albania urged Hezbollah to halt hostile actions against Israel and act in line with Lebanese state authority. It also called on international partners to support efforts toward longer-term stability and dialogue in the region.
