Albanian-American Youth Show Strong Interest in Connecting with Their Roots

Many young Albanians born in the United States, or who left Albania at an early age, continue to feel a strong bond with their homeland despite the distance. Recently, a group of Albanian-American youths, living with their families in the U.S., visited Lezha and explored several key historical sites in the city.
The visit was organized by the “Albanian Roots” association, whose leader highlighted that the George Kastrioti Memorial is a symbolic place of unity for Albanians.
“All the children were born and raised in America and come from different Albanian regions. We try to remind them that the most important thing is unity. It’s important to remember that being united helps us move forward,” said Marko Kepi, President of the “Albanian Roots” association.
The Albanian-American group plans to visit additional historical sites across Albania, providing them with a deeper understanding of their homeland.
