Singer Alis Kallaçi, who will represent Albania at Eurovision, shared details about the making of his music video for the song “Nan” on the RTSH1 show Çasti i duhur.

Alis explained that placing his mother at the center of the video reflects her powerful symbolism. He emphasized that the video was meant to convey this message clearly.

“The focus was to create something beautiful with the resources we had. For this video, we are extremely grateful to RTSH for making it possible. Also, thanks to the team and the experts who did an amazing job.

When I saw the video for the first time, it moved me deeply. It couldn’t have been any other way without including the most powerful figure—my mother.

We wanted the video to be surrounded by her presence. I am the one singing, but ultimately, I am delivering my mother’s words. The idea and emotion we wanted to convey come entirely from her,” Alis told host Fjodora Fjora.

He also shared how the video was received on the official Eurovision website. People were deeply moved, especially by the part featuring his mother.

“I didn’t expect such a strong reaction. Viewers, especially Albanians and Balkan audiences, felt a real connection. The part with my mother touched them the most. They didn’t expect her to appear in the video. It was a surprise even for me.

It was her first time appearing in a music video, and it happened in my Eurovision clip. There’s a bit of humor in the story. I told my mother that the video couldn’t happen without her presence. After all, I’m singing her words. She agreed—mothers do anything for their sons. That scene is my favorite part,” Alis added.
