Amadeus Orchestra Wins Grand Prix in Spain

The “Amadeus” Children and Youth Orchestra won the top prize, the Grand Prix, at the 2026 “Spring Symphonies” International Festival in Spain. The orchestra ranked first among dozens of competing ensembles.
Conductor Vehbi Shosholli led the young musicians from Kosovo. They showcased rare talent, dedication, and passion for music.
The orchestra’s page said, “This success is more than a prize. It proves the team’s hard work, sacrifice, and big dreams.”
Amadeus continues to make Kosovo proud with its young talents. A month ago, the orchestra performed at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Tirana for Kosovo’s Independence Day.
The program, titled “Generation of Freedom,” featured works such as “Gramophone Waltz,” pieces by Beethoven, “Palladio,” popular “Can-Can” rhythms, and traditional Albanian tunes like “Malësorja.” The concert also included compositions by Haydn, Jenkins, Texidor, Offenbach, Hopkins, Doga, and Antonido.
