TIRANA, January 28 – Peace Board says Albania joins as founding member

The Peace Board announced Albania’s official membership in the international organization initiated by US President Donald Trump.

The organization published the announcement on its official website and shared it on social media. It said it welcomes Albania as a founding member.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared the Peace Board’s statement on X.

Earlier, the Assembly of Albania approved the decision to join the Peace Board Charter. MPs passed the decision on January 22 with 110 votes from both the majority and the opposition.

Prime Minister Rama said the ratification reflects Albania’s goodwill and its responsibility to contribute to peace whenever possible. He also said a personal invitation from the US president represents a special honor and recognition of Albania’s international role.
