The ancient city of Butrint, 20 km from Saranda, continues to attract local and foreign tourists even though the tourist season has not started yet.

According to the data, during the month of January, the park was visited by 430 tourists, in February by 729 tourists and in March by 1432 visitors, of which 487 local visitors, 741 foreign visitors and 204 visitors without a ticket. During the month of March 2023, a total of 101 75 00 ALL was generated from the sale of tickets, of which 342 100 ALL from domestic visitors, 675 400 ALL from foreign visitors.

Tourists follow an interesting tourist route among the ruins of ancient civilizations and the fantastic landscape that this place offers in every season.

A higher tourist flow is expected in the coming months in the national park of Butrint.

The National Archaeological Park of Butrint has an area of 15 hectares and is located at heights of 30-50 meters above sea level. It is located in the southeastern corner of the Ksamil peninsula. The archeology of this ancient city evidences the legacy left by different cultures in the past. Kings, conquerors, princes, thinkers, archaeologists and historians have found in the ruins of the city symmetry of human history.
