March 27, 1767 is the date of the icon of the three hierarchs in the church of Saint George in Vithkuq, the work of two well-known medieval painters from Mokra of Korça, the brothers Kostandin and Athanas Zografi. Their work stands out for its large size, the ethnographic wealth of the painted clothing, for its high level and artistic skill.

On March 27, 1887, Refat Begolli, one of the rare Albanian diplomats, was born in Peja. In 1941, when Kosovo joined Albania, he and his brothers became part of political life. On July 18, 1944, he was appointed Minister of National Economy. In September, with the resignation of the government, Begolli returned from Tirana to Peja. At the beginning of 1945, he was killed by the Yugoslav army together with his two brothers.

On March 27, 1999, Serbian criminals entered the premises of the Memorial Complex of the Albanian League of Prizren, and burned the Museum House of the League with about 11,000 historical exhibits.
